Banyan Arts
BANYAN ARTS was founded by artist Paul Arsenault, Eileen Arsenault, and Donna Murphy as a publishing home for stories rooted in art, history, and a deep sense of place. For more than fifty years, Paul Arsenault has painted the landscapes, landmarks, and coastal communities that have shaped his life and travels—from Naples and Nantucket to the Caribbean, Europe, and beyond. A painter, preservationist, and storyteller at heart, Paul is known for capturing places before they disappear or are forever changed, preserving not only their beauty but their spirit and sense of time.
Paul’s first book, Paul Arsenault, My Journey As A Painter, chronicles a lifetime of artistic journeys across the places that inspired him most, while An Artful History of Naples and Collier County turns its focus to the history and character of Naples itself through a rich blend of Paul’s paintings, fine art photography, vintage postcards, and historical narrative. Published in late 2025, the book sold out its first printing by the spring of 2026, affirming a deep connection between art, storytelling, and community preservation. Together with the annually published
NAPLES 2027: Landscapes, Landmarks, and Beloved Spots calendar and a growing collection of fine art prints, these works reflect the mission behind Banyan Arts: to preserve the places we cherish through artful storytelling.
As written in An Artful History of Naples and Collier County, “It was one thing to come home with a painting, but to come home with a painting and a story meant it was a really successful day.” That belief—and Picasso’s observation that “Painting is just another way of keeping a diary”—inspires Banyan Arts as it continues to grow, publishing works that celebrate remarkable places and the stories that live within them.
